PlayOJO vs Spin Genie, clause by clause

www.playojo.com

PlayOJO’s homepage: a purple header with the OJO logo, a search box and a green login button, a promotion slide, and a menu of Slots, Bingo, Roulette, Blackjack, Live Casino, Jackpot and Instants above a Featured row.

PlayOJO’s homepage puts bingo beside the slots, roulette, blackjack, live casino, jackpot and instant games in the menu, and its text promises bonus wins paid in cash with no wagering.

PlayOJO’s UK documents against Spin Genie’s, read in October 2026. “Same” means the clause matches Spin Genie’s.

Example: £10 won from free spins, read against both rulebooks (gross figures)

At Spin Genie the £10 sits in a bonus balance until 10 × £10 = £100 of slot bets have been placed, at no more than £1 a bet, and a withdrawal before then cancels the balance. PlayOJO’s terms put no playthrough on its rewards, though its fair-play rules still expect a deposit of the player’s own money, risked in play, before reward winnings are withdrawn, and an account that has never deposited is held to £100.

PlayOJO’s no-wagering promise and the older PlayBooster rule

PlayOJO’s terms say there are no wagering requirements on any of our rewards or offers. No wagering is not the same as no conditions: the rewards policy lists taking free rewards and trying to withdraw them without risking the reward as irregular play.

The note beside this text quotes the policy’s older PlayBooster rule. The Commission barred bonus wagering above 10 times from 19 January 2026, after that policy was written, so its default cannot describe a current UK offer: a PlayBooster offered now is read against its own promotion terms.

How OJOplus cash back is redeemed, rounded and lost

Section 36 of PlayOJO’s terms sets the OJOplus rules. PlayOJO publishes the percentage for each game and can change it without notice.

  • Redeeming moves the balance into the real-money balance, and only the full balance can be redeemed.
  • The balance is shown to two decimal places and rounded down, so fractions of a penny build up out of sight.
  • An unredeemed balance is removed after 180 days of inactivity.

Spin Genie’s promotions page lists Daily Picks, Prize Twister, slots tournaments and My Levels instead.

Withdrawal and game clauses only PlayOJO prints

The withdrawal clauses conflict. Check the cashier’s method-specific minimum before relying on a withdrawal below £10.

The homepage advertises payouts with 95% of withdrawals processed within minutes, a casino claim rather than a promise in its terms. Bingo games with cash prizes are stated to return between 70% and 90%, special circumstances excluded.

Brand history of PlayOJO and Spin Genie on the licence

PlayOJO’s about page dates its launch to 2017 and bingo to 2020, and says the brand trades as PlayUZU in Spain, Mexico, Peru and elsewhere in South America. SkillOnNet’s portfolio page puts the launch in March 2017.

Spin Genie, founded by Gaming Realms and sold with Bear Group in 2019, first appears on Skill On Net’s register entry in May 2020.

Exclusion, limits and the welcome check across both accounts

  1. A self-exclusion at either site is written to cover the other. Both sets of terms forbid play on an account under a limitation and remove winnings made that way, so a sister is closed, not a second door.
  2. Deposit limits apply account by account. A limit at Spin Genie does not follow a player to PlayOJO, so each account needs its own.
  3. Both sets of terms run a welcome offer past an automatic review of the new account, which can find it ineligible.
