Is Spin Genie legit? Licence, payouts and complaints
Yes. Spin Genie operates on Skill On Net’s Gambling Commission licence. The terms say withdrawals are aimed at a turnaround of a few hours, while wins from £5,000 up, and jackpots, can take longer. Segregated funds do not guarantee repayment.

Company, addresses and the UK processing agent
Skill on Net Ltd is the company a player contracts with. The footer gives it as a company registered in Malta, at Quantum House in Ta’ Xbiex, and the UK terms list a different office in the same building. The register records the licence holder as headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, and SkillOnNet’s own company page calls the Cyprus office its head office and strategic hub.
A British Skill On Net Limited is, in the UK terms’ words, the processing agent for deposits and withdrawals. Companies House lists it as active, incorporated on 29 July 2022, with a registered office in Kingston upon Thames. It handles payments and is not the licensee.

Regulator record
The Commission’s news item dated 23 May 2023 put a £305,150 payment on Skill On Net Limited, following an inquiry that turned up gaps in social responsibility and money-laundering controls at a business the item says runs 50 websites. The public statement, read from an archive copy of April 2026, covers January 2021 to December 2022 and names no brand.
- Several customers deposited and lost more than double the £2,000 limit the company had set for unverified payment methods.
- One customer lost up to £3,000 a month, more than the salary the company held evidence of.
- One customer had a seven-hour session and said he was at work on nights with his phone on autoplay.
- The company relied on automated pop-ups to interact with some customers.
The settlement took the form of a payment in lieu of a financial penalty, £305,150 in all with a £105,650 divestment inside it, plus £9,079 towards the Commission’s costs and an independent third-party audit of the anti-money-laundering and safer-gambling controls. Three compliance assessments had all found failings, and the company accepted the key failings.
Archive copies of the regulatory actions tab from 9 December 2025 and 16 May 2026 list the settlement. In October 2026 the tab reads No regulatory actions have been recorded for this business.
The three years ran out on 23 May 2026, though no page read says why the entry went. An empty tab is not the same as a clean history.

Owner history from Gaming Realms to Skill On Net
The address has stayed www.spingenie.com since at least 2015, while the business behind it changed twice in under a year: in the about page’s words, founded by Gaming Realms, acquired by SkillOnNet, relaunched on a new platform.
- 10 August 2015The earliest archive copy read shows the brand already live at www.spingenie.com.
- 17 July 2019CasinoBeats reports River iGaming completing its Bear Group deal with Gaming Realms, and Spin Genie goes with it.
- 19 July 2019Spin Genie’s footer still reads
Bear Group Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gaming Realms PLC.
Bear Group was also regulated in Alderney. - 6 December 2019The footer now describes Bear Group as
a wholly owned subsidiary of River Game Operations Ltd
, a company listed in Norway. - 1 January to 1 April 2020Skill On Net’s register entry does not list Spin Genie.
- 6 May 2020www.spingenie.com appears on Skill On Net’s register entry, and the trading name follows by 2 June 2020.
- 9 June 2020CasinoBeats reports that SkillOnNet has relaunched Spin Genie, with Prime Gaming as its marketer.
- 4 August 2020The footer gives Skill on Net Ltd as a Maltese-registered company, under a version stamp dated June 2020.
- 9 June 2022An EGR headline reports SkillOnNet launching PlayOJO, SlotsMagic and Spin Genie in Ontario.
Under Bear Group, disputes went to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service, IBAS, where the terms read on 5 October 2026 name eCOGRA. Register searches for Bear Group, River UK and Gaming Realms returned nothing in September 2026.

Escalating a stalled Spin Genie complaint
- Raise the complaint with customer support through live chat (open 06:00 to 00:00 GMT) or email to contact@spingenie.com, and keep the transcript.
- Ask support to escalate the complaint; a manager or supervisor can then take it on. The terms allow 96 hours for a decision.
- Take a dispute about a gambling transaction to eCOGRA, whose ruling the terms call binding, if the decision does not settle it. The terms ask you to let two full weeks go by from the day the problem started. Apply within one year of the dispute arising.
- Note the last-updated dates shown that day on the UK terms (8-UK-N) and the bonus policy (128-UK-N). English law governs the contract, and the courts of England have sole jurisdiction.
A Malta document set read on 5 October 2026 carries different terms and 30x bonus wagering; the code at the top of each document shows which set it belongs to.
